Is this password generator safe?+
Yes. It runs completely in your browser — no password is ever uploaded, logged, or stored on a server, and nothing survives a page refresh. Because the whole page loads client-side, you can even disconnect from the internet and it still generates passwords.
How do I create a strong password online?+
Set the length slider to at least 16, keep all four character sets (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols) enabled, and click “Generate new.” Watch the strength meter climb toward Strong, then hit Copy to paste the password wherever you need it.
Are these passwords safe to use?+
Yes. Each password is generated with the browser’s cryptographically secure random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), so it’s genuinely unpredictable, and it never leaves your device.
How long should my password be?+
Aim for at least 16 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. The length slider goes from 6 to 64 — longer is stronger, and a password manager makes long random passwords easy to use.
What does the strength meter mean?+
It estimates how hard the password is to guess from its length and the character sets you enabled, labelling it Weak, Good, or Strong. Adding more character types and length moves it toward Strong.
Which characters are included?+
You can toggle lowercase (a–z), uppercase (A–Z), numbers (0–9), and symbols (!@#$%^&*()-_=+[]{};:,.?). Turn off any set you can’t use — for example, symbols where a site rejects them.
Is my password sent to a server?+
No. Everything happens in your browser. The password is not logged, stored, or transmitted anywhere, and it’s gone once you leave or refresh the page.
